I am frequently asked, "How is the market."  I always, lean towards, "It's GOOD!"  This is a true statement but, we have seen some changes over the last few years.  The vast majority of BUYERS do not want to have to make repairs or updates.  The more a SELLER leaves for a buyer to do, the less likely they will sell their house for top dollar.  First, 9 out of 10 BUYERS do not have vision when it comes to remodeling.  Second, buyers want to move in and move on with their lives.  So, repairs and updates are not desirable to them.  My best advice for a Seller is to FIX any issues they are aware of and "freshen" things like landscaping and painting.  Dated carpet is another turn-off. You will reap the benefits 10-fold.
